NFL 2026 Raiders-Patriots Week 5 Preview And Picks
The Las Vegas Raiders (3-1) suffered their first loss of the season last week, and it was a tough one that got away in the fourth quarter. Five lead changes in the closing stages of the fourth quarter after the Raiders led the Chiefs 19-17 saw some costly mistakes in a 30-17 defeat. Now the Raiders-Patriots Week 5 game in Foxboro headlines some of the key games in our tips, totals, teasers and trends report along with our Week 5 picks, props and parlays.
Our watch and wager Raiders action has been moving the ball, scoring touchdowns and hitting paydirt. Another winner on the Raiders pick (+4.5) as underdog against the Chiefs runs the record to 5-1 on Raiders games picks and opinions (1-1 leans). It started the 2026 season 3-0 with wins over the Miami Dolphins, division rival Las Vegas Chargers and New Orleans Saints.
I include select Raiders picks with additional stats, insight, team news and information you can bet on during the season. Additional AFC West division profiles, teams schedules, odds, season wins and information you can bet on is provided as you follow the Raiders and watch and wager on the NFL again this season.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. New England Patriots
Spread: Patriots (-3.5), Game total 45
Pick: None
Opinion: None. Lean Patriots
The Patriots have faced three good offenses this season in losses to the Seahawks, Jaguars and last week’s big road win at Buffalo, 29-26 as a 7-point ‘Dog. New England had 405 yards offense including 143 rushing which allowed them to control the ball, clock and chains running 73 plays (35 rushes) to 54 for the Bills while controlling the ball for 34 minutes. New England has the better of it in the running game again this week with their solid RB tandem of Stevenson and Henderson plus QB Maye’s mobility. The Raiders top RB Ashton Jeanty is questionable with ankle and foot injuries, so monitor his stats with capable rookie RB Mike Washington carrying the load. Still, the Raiders have rushed for a league-worst 3.1 yards per rush, and allowed an AFC-worst 5.2 yards per rush. The Raiders runners average 1.4 yards before contact, also last in the league as the offensive line improves and guard Jackson Powers-Johnson ready to return to action against the Patriots.
But this week against the Raiders, the Patriots’ defensive backfield is bad shape. Missing the game will be the league’s best CB Christian Gonzalez, CB Carlton Davis and two backup CB’s. So some practice squad CB’s will see action against an improved offense with QB Kirk Cousins utilizing his pair of top TE’s and running game. The Raiders have slight value above a FG, but Las Vegas travels across country for their first game outdoors and apply to negative ATS situations off their division game last week.
