The season is slipping away for a number of teams beyond the dreadful and winless Dolphins and Titans, who are last in the NFL in scoring offense averaging 11.5 and 13.8 points per game. The NFL Week 5 betting tips also notes that last year’s playoff teams Texans and Chargers are also 0-4 after posting 12 and 11 wins last year. The Buccaneers are the only winless team in the NFC playing in the perhaps the worst division again this season in the NFC South, but the AFC South is making a strong tush push for poor football performances beyond the AFC contender Jaguars (3-1). More storylines, stats, scoring, odds and key matchups leads us into our NFL Week 5 tips, totals, teasers and trends report, which is initially posted at Off Shore Gaming Assocation.
Check out more NFL Week 5 betting tips at OSGA, including tips and totals for Week 5 starting with Thursday night Tampa Bay at Dallas. I’ll add more here following the game and ahead of the weekend with our NFL Week 5 betting tips, totals, teasers and trends report.

NFL Scoring
For the second-straight week, scoring averaged more than 47 points per game, and now 46.2 ppg this season. Totals Tips also shows half the games in Week 4 had 51 or more combined points, including the three prime time night games Thursday, Sunday and Monday averaging 59 ppg. But officiating is impacting games, scoring and results more than ever. That includes a NFL record 963 accepted penalties – the most through four weeks since play-by-play data became available in 1978.
NFL Week 5 Totals, Tips and Opinions
All the Dallas data supporing scoring, but it takes two teams to tango, and we don’t trust the bumbling new rookie QB starting for the Bucccaneers, as undrafted Jalon Daniels passed for just 4.1 yards per play with 2 interceptions in last week’s loss – another low point for the Bucs and hot seat head coach. A Thursday night lean for the Cowboys over 28.5 team total, and adding Dallas to our teasers this week. But we do have an opinion on the Cowboys (-8 /-8.5), looking for a big margin home win over the Buccaneers, who are on a NFL record 0-13 ATS run and 0-4 SU/ATS this season. The Bucs defense is allowing 24 points per game this season, and three of their opponents (CLE, MIN, GB) average less than 22 ppg (weather impacted some scoring and results).
Updates with tips and totals including game analysis with situations and supporting trends to follow Friday, but available Thursday at OSGA.
