NFL Week 2 Betting odds, Tips, Totals and Teasers
The 2026 NFL season kicked off with record scoring in Week 1, and the Bears 59 points headlined 11 teams scoring 30+ points. The 49.4 points per game scoring average including a Week 1 Sunday record at 53.0 points per game leads us into our NFL Week 2 betting Tips, Totals, Teasers and Trends report.
My initial NFL Week 2 betting tips, totals, teasers and trends report is posted at Off Shore Gaming Assocation, where I chip-in initial NFL coverage each week. The Week 1 scoring onslaught followed the opening season low-scoring game won by the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks 13-10 over the New England Patriots. The five division games in Week 1 averaged 460.0 points per game and went 3-2 over/under on closing lines (WSH/PHI under opening #, we bet). The 49’ers 27-7 win over the Rams in Australia was one of three lower scoring games under 40 points.
The Week 2 Thursday night matchup featured the highest posted total of the week at 54.5 points between Detroit and Buffalo, and the Bills and MVP favorite QB Josh Allen continued their offensive onslaught with a 41-31 win over the Lions to open the new Highmark Stadium. A tips and totals winner on a high-scoring outcome, and we’ll shoot for more NFL Week 2 betting tips, totals and teasers winners Sunday.

No surprise that the early bet counts from top online sportsbooks shows the popular favorites taking the most bets including the Eagles (91%), Buccaneers (73%), 49ers (69%) as big favorites -9 to -13′ points along with the Seahawks (76%) off their Wed. Week 1 win extra rest and preparation for surprise Week 1 winner Arizona, who returns to Glendale for their home opener.
NFL Week 2 Bettting Tips, Totals and Trends
There are five division games in NFL Week 2 betting, and two of them are between undefeated teams. The Vikings battle the Bears in a key NFC North showdown in Chicato. The Super Bowl champion Seahawks tackle the Cardinals in the Arizona desert.
Two other division matchups are between 0-1 teams with NFC East rivals Commanders and Cowboys in Dallas. The NFC South saw all four teams lose in Week 1, and the Panthers are a road favorite against rhe Falcons in early Sunday action.
The other division duel is in Los Angeles where the Chargers try to bounce back off an ugly loss as the biggest Week 1 favorite. Raider Nation invades So Fi Stadium to support the Silver and Black in a key AFC West contest. That follows a Monday Night Football Week 1 totals winner as the Chiefs buried the Broncos 31-10.

Totals Tips and Opinions
DET-BUF: Over
WSH-DAL: Over
LV-LAC: Under
SEA/AZ: Under
GB/NYJ: Under
Teasers (3-team 6.5 point, +130)
Jets (+10), Eagles (-1), Ravens (-2.5)
I rarely lay road points, and especially above 3 points. So we tease the Eagles against the terrible Titans and their future bust quarterback with complete offensive inneficiency. Likely lower scoring, and lean under too with the drop below 40. Ravens project to run wild in the zone blocking scheme that the Saints just struggled with against the Lions in a 31-30 loss in which New Orleans defense allowed 165 rushing yards on 33 attempts. The Ravens rushed for 202 yards on 37 carries last week including 15 totes for 106 yards by RB Derrick Henry on those outside zone runs, a career-high 62% of the carries on those plays.

Washington at Dallas – fierce NFC East division rivals and some strong tips, toyals and trends support a higher scoring shootout. The Totals Tipsheet at Playbook Sports notes that the last six meetings in this series have gone 5-1 over/under with an average of 54.1 points per game. For what it’s worth, NFC East same division games have gone 11-1 over/under over the past 12 months. Dallas home games averaged a league-high 60.1 ppg last season. The Cowboys home games have gone over the total 12 times in the past two seasons, including 44-22 vs. Washington last year. In the last 15 games that the Cowboys have been favored at home, the over/under is 13-2 (13 overs). Game 2 home favorites of more than 3 points are 14-2 over/under when the total is 47 or higher.
Las Vegas at Los Angeles Chargers – Living in Las Vegas, I follow the Raiders more closely and post weekly picks and opinions on their games late each week.
The Raiders Week 1 spread winner was part of a 2-0 Raiders report as we squeezed the Under (40.5) in the Silver and Black’s 27-13 win over the finless Dolphins. The Raiders-Chargers Week 2 matchup projects to less scoring than expected (43.5), and the line is down to LAC -6.5 after opening -7 and advance line of -8.5 prior to last week’s games. The Chargers loss as a 9-point favorite to the Cardinals saw LA score just 14 points on 51 plays, 23 minutes ball possesion and only 268 yards offense (5.2 yppl). The Chargers loss also elmininated more than 7,500 entries (30%) in the popular Circa Survivor contest in Las Vegas. The Raiders managed just 290 yards offense (4.3 yards per play) against the Dolphins last week in a 27-13 victory. This AFC West Raiders-Chargers clash has gone 1-4 over/under the last 5 games in Los Angeles (last year over in LAC 31-14 win). New QB for the Raiders now with Kirk Cousins, and coaching changes, coorinators and schemes. But the last five times these teams
played the for the first time the past five seasons has gone 0-5 over/under averaging just 37.4 points per game. For what it’s worth, the signature system in AFC West division matchups have gone 4-19 over/under the last five years when the home team is favored. Add in this situation and system below and we may well see more hard-hitting, ball control and fewer chunk plays as the defenses control the proceedings. Game 2 home favorites off a home favorite loss (Chargers) are 2-14 over/under since 1981 with an over/under line of greater than 42 points. As you evaluate the betting line and matchups, here some positive profiles supporting the Los Angeles to bounce back. The Chargers are on a 10-1-1 ATS run vs the division, and in the Super Bowl era, teams that lose outright in Week 1 as 7-point favorites or more are 20-11-2 ATS in Week 2.
Detroit at Buffalo – Thursday’s night headliner between the Lions and Bills in the opening game at new Highmark Stadium won’t likely reach the 48-42 Bills win in 2024 over the Lions when QB’s Josh Allen and Jared Goff passed for 362 and 473 yards. But the Bills opened up the playbook and passing in their Week 1 win over Houston 36-31, averaging a co-week high 7.9 yards per play. Top online sportsbook BetOnline 63% of the spread money is on the Bills (-5.5), and 69% over the total 54.5 and up to 55 at select online sportsbooks. The Lions held on for a 31-30 Week 1 win over the Saints. But injuries in the secondary are a major concern, along with Detroits offensive line. Late post and total up, so we’ll just Lean Over the game total with expected high-scoring to continue with Week 2 kickoff. We’ll note and add that teams that won Week 1 games in which 50+ points were scored are 34-18 Under (65%) the following week (VSiN). Thursday Night Football games with totals of 50+ are are also 24-12 Under (66.7%) since 2012.
Green Bay at NY Jets – Watch the NFL weather Sunday as their is definitely rain showers in the forecast for East Rutherford, NJ at Met Life Stadium. The Jets (0-1) have the projected rushing edge in this matchup with most underrated RB Breece Hall leading the way behind a pair of solid, young offensive tackles. This puts puts me on the home ‘Dog side with growing confidence in veteran QB Geno Smith and his top target WR Garrett Wilson. The Packers (0-1) offense should be slowed against a Jets defense that held a terrible Titans offense to 195 yards (4.0 yppl) in a 23-10 Week 1 win with NY controlling the ball for nearly 39 minutes. Star safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (groin) is out for New York, but Green Bay had a very low 38.8% success rate in last week’s disaster giveaway at Minnesota. The Packer’s offense has had the slowest neutral pace in the league over the past five years, but their defense was up to task holding the Vikings to 239 yards at 3.9 yards per play in a misleading 39-22 final.
