The 2026 NFL season kicks off and top teams from the AFC East and NFC West lead us into Week 1 games on Sunday with the defending Super Bowl champions Seattle Seahawks escaping the turnover troubled New England Patriots 13-10. The underdog San Francisco 49ers put a beatdown on NFC West division rival and preseason Super Bowl favorites LA Rams 27-7. The 2026 NFC North and South saw surprise division champions last season with the Chicago Bears and Carolina Panthers emerging, although the Panthers won the worst division in the NFL with an 8-9 record and a -69 scoring differential.
