NFL 2026 Raiders-Chargers Week 2 Preview And Picks
The Las Vegas Raiders kicked off the 2026 season with a 27-13 home win over the Miami Dolphins. Our Raiders Week 1 coverage and picks produced a 2-0 start, but the task is more difficult in the Raiders-Chargers Week 2 showdown in Los Angeles.
I include select Raiders picks with additional stats, insight, team news and information you can bet on during the season. Additional AFC West division profiles, teams schedules, odds, season wins and information you can bet on if provided as you follow the Raiders and watch and wager on the NFL again this season.

You can follow various sites for Raiders news beyond betting including Silver and Black Pride along Raiders.com with other sources including my friend and colleague JT The Brick, the Raiders pre and post game host, analyst and national/Las Vegas radio voice.
Another colleague I correspond with is Case Keefer of the Las Vegas Sun, who covers the Raiders and other Las Vegas sports teams. As a columnist and reporter, Case is also a sharp handicapper who provides weekly betting picks along with Raiders Game Day coverage including Raiders-Chargers Week 2.

Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers
Spread: Chargers (-6.5 / 7), Game total 43.5
Pick: None, Lean Raiders
Opinion: Under
The Raiders-Chargers Week 2 matchup projects to less scoring than expected (43.5), and the line is down to LAC -6.5 after opening -7 and advance line of -8.5 prior to last week’s games. The Chargers lost as a 9-point favorite to the Cardinals saw LA score just 14 points on 51 plays, 23 minutes ball possession and only 268 yards offense (5.2 yppl). The Chargers loss also elmininated more than 7,500 entries (30%) in the popular Circa Survivor contest in Las Vegas. The Raiders managed just 290 yards offense (4.3 yards per play) against the Dolphins last week in a 27-13 victory. This AFC West Raiders-Chargers clash has gone 1-4 over/under the last 5 games in Los Angeles (last year over in LAC 31-14 win). New QB for the Raiders now with Kirk Cousins, and coaching changes, coorinators and schemes. But the last five times these teams
played the for the first time the past five seasons has gone 0-5 over/under averaging just 37.4 points per game. For what it’s worth, the signature system in AFC West division matchups have gone 4-19 over/under the last five years when the home team is favored. Add in this situation and system below and we may well see more hard-hitting, ball control and fewer chunk plays as the defenses control the proceedings. Game 2 home favorites off a home favorite loss (Chargers) are 2-14 over/under since 1981 with an over/under line of greater than 42 points. As you evaluate the betting line and matchups, here some positive profiles supporting the Los Angeles to bounce back. The Chargers are on a 10-1-1 ATS run vs the division, and in the Super Bowl era, teams that lose outright in Week 1 as 7-point favorites or more are 20-11-2 ATS in Week 2.
Player Prop: If you’re considering Raiders player props, I’ll give an opinion on kicker Matt Gay over 5.5 kicking points.
