The CJ Cup Byron Nelson 2024 Golf Preview And Picks

The newly-named CJ Cup Byron Nelson 2024 golf tournament includes just three of the top 25 players in the world golf rankings – Jordan Spieth, Jason Day and Tom Kim. The 156 player field tees off the May PGA Tour schedule at TPC Craig Ranch 30 miles North of Dallas.

Limited time with travel and more commitments this week, but I add more to my golf preview with odds, insight and picks in my CJ Cup Byron Nelson preview in Forbes.

The CJ Cup Byron Nelson 2024 Golf Odds

Byeong Hun An ranks No. 1 in this field in Birdies or Better Gained and No. 4 in this field in Opportunities Gained over his last 36 rounds. He’s also No. 3 in Driving Distance Gained and No. 12 in Greens in Regulation Gained. Hun An also ranks top-20 in Proximity to the hole from 175-200 yards and 200+ yards and top-5 inside 125 yards. Byeong Hun An finished T8 in the Arnold Palmer Invitational and T16 in The Masters against stronger field on courses where driving and approach were key stats.

The CJ Cup Byron Nelson 2024 Picks

Fairway’s Favorites: Tom Kim, Byeong Hun An, Sungjae Im, Keith Mitchell
Fairway’s Longshots: Thomas Detry, Seamus Power, Sam Stevens, Ryan Fox

Tournament Match-ups: Byeong Hun An (-115) vs. Min Woo Lee (SuperBook)

Last year we had an easy tournament matchup winner on Seamus Power (T19) over Maverick McNealy (cut). In the 2022 Byron Nelson event, we just missed a longshot winner, but like our chances with Byeong Hun An for a strong finish this year.

Next week it’s the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow in Charlotte and another Signature Event with a $20 million prize pool.
