NY Jets Rally For MNF Win Over Bills And QB Rodgers Out For Season
It was a special night at MetLife Stadium for NFL Week 1 Monday Night Football. The 22nd anniversary of the 911 terrorist attacks saw QB Aaron Rodgers run out of the tunnel onto the field carrying the American Flag ahead of his debut with the New York Jets. The crowd anticipated a memorable night, and joined in the celebration as NYPD officer Brianna Fernandez sang “The Star-Spangled Banner”. Minutes later, four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers was injured on the fourth play of the game for the Jets. New York turned to backup QB Zach Wilson, and the Jets overcame a 13-3 halftime deficit to rally against the odds for a MNF win over the Buffalo Bills, 22-16 in overtime.
The big plays, big moments and more stats and updates are in my MNF recap on Forbes.
I also posted Picks and Props in my MNF coverage at OSGA ahead of the Jets-Bills game.

I added more highlights and updates of the MNF win in my coverage in Forbes. More on the Jets dominating defense as well, forcing four turnovers by Bills QB Josh Allen including three INT’s by Jets SS Jordan Whitehead.
The electrifying 65-yard punt return TD in overtime by undrafted rookie Xavier Gipson sent the Jets players and fans into a frenzy on a special night at MetLife. The sad and unfortunate news of Aaron Rodgers torn Achilles was reported today and he’ll miss the rest of the season.
