NFL 2023 Week 2 Underdog Picks And Preview

FairwayJay’s 6 year record posting NFL Underdog Picks is greater than 58%, and previous 8-straight winning seasons greater than 57% on nearly 650 plays

A strong start to our 2023 season with Week 1 underdog picks going 3-1 ATS with three outright winners on the Browns, Raiders and Jets in New York’s emotional win and rally on MNF and 9/11. Now we fire NFL 2023 Week 2 underdog picks, which are posted each Wedneday at Off Shore Gaming Association.

I also added a NFL Week 2 betting report in my coverage in Forbes. It includes matchups, odds, stats, insight and pro picks with analysis.

Our format change with posting weekly underdog picks, opinions and considerations on Wednesday’s at Off Shore Gaming Association allows us to provide more thoughts and opinions on additional games in case you’re considering those games as comparison as well. Those Week 1 opinons and considerations went 6-2 ATS and we had the Lions as a pick and bet +6.5 before the Kelce injury news but couldn’t get posted at OSGA with a contact management issue and didn’t include as official picks. All final Picks are added Friday following injury reports, and periodically others over the weekend. Those games not listed would be Leans if we had any, but we also bet other games, totals, halftimes and add other Picks as needed ahead of Sunday games when we also live bet.

NFL Handicapping Success, Strategies and Sports Betting Stories

The line moves are always worth monitoring, and trying to get ahead of, but we don’t control market moves. We did get the Vikings +7 for Thursday Night Football at Philadelphia and Bears (+3) at Tampa Bay Sunday. Those lines are now Eagles -6 and Bucaneers -2.5. The Raiders are also down to +8.5 at Buffalo and Jaguars up a half point to +3.5 at home vs the KC Chiefs. The NY Giants are down to -4 at Arizona, and Seahawks +5 at Detroit and trending down.

Week 2 Odds, Lines and Matchups

We enter Week 2 at 3-1 ATS with 3 outright winners to start the season.  The 6-year record posting only NFL underdog picks is now 165-118 ATS (58.3%) with 95 outright underdog winners. That includes a 70% season in 2021 going 28-12 ATS with 21 outright winners.

I did not enter the NFL SuperContest or Circa Millions this year, but will shoot for next year following past contest success.

See insight and analysis along with Week 2 betting systems and ATS info in my NFL Week 2 coverage and picks at Forbes.

Added Betting Notes: The Colts (+1 to +1.5) are now an underdog at Houston, and after further review, research and issues with Texans offensive line, the Colts are the side to support and I added them to teasers including with Falcons. Indianapolis is an Opinion and not added to official picks but I did bet on the Colts.

Perfection Reflection

Week 2 is also a perfection reflection week for me, as Week 2 of the 2009 NFL season was my best-ever week forecasting NFL winners. A 10-0 ATS week providing picks was publicly documented with game analysis on all the contests when I was on nationally radio and a public handicapper providing picks for clients and independently documented by the Sports Monitor of Oklahoma City for professional handicappers.

Be sure to check the NFL injury reports and monitor the betting lines and lookahead lines, which I will also update each week along with any major injuries and impact like QB Aaron Rodgers of the Jets in Week 1.

We’ll add insight, analysis and ATS info with our picks by Friday. I’ll also have weekly NFL insights, tips and information you can bet on in my coverage for Forbes.

Check back this weekend for any updates, additions and information you can bet on.
