NBA Finals 2023 Heavily Favor Nuggets Over Heat

We’ve gone from the opening round of the playoffs to the NBA Finals 2023 pro basketball championship. The series tips off June 1, and the Denver Nuggets are expected to take the title over the Miami Heat. I chip-in some NBA Finals coverage in Forbes with added insight stats, picks and information you can bet on.

NBA Finals 2023 Odds

  • NBA Finals Series Odds: Nuggets (-460), Heat (+350)
  • Game 1: Nuggets (-9), Total 219

Check out the sportsbook data on the series and some prop bets provided by colleagues.

Denver is 12-3 during the 2023 NBA Playoffs and 9-6 against the spread (ATS). The Nuggets ride a 6-game winning streak into the finals. Miami is 13-7 in the playoffs but a robust 14-6 ATS including the two play-in games.

“The Nuggets are averaging 121.7 points per 100 possessions in non-garbage time with a +9.2 net rating – both figures are the best in the NBA postseason,” VSiN senior NBA analyst Jonathan Von Tobel says.

I don’t take much interest in the NBA, or at least this season and playoffs, with more interest in covering other athletes and sports, often with far less egos.

That despite success in recent seasons and NBA Playoffs including props.

I’ll leave it at that for now, and share stories and other information you can bet on for future seasons.

Regarding Denver vs Miami, in the final analysis, the Nuggets have the best player and offense with a superb coach who has made proper adjustments. Denver combines that with a defense that has allowed the lowest frequency of wide-open 3-point attempts to cool off the Heat. Along with home court advantage and the altitude edge and experience, the Nuggets are primed to become world champions in a series that won’t need a Game 7 to decide the winner.
