Mexico Open Golf Odds And 2024 Preview And Picks
Just five of the top 60 players in the world golf rankings tee it up this week at the 2024 Mexico Open. I chip in Mexico Open golf odds, picks, props and information you can bet on in my PGA Tour coverage in Forbes. Mexico Open golf odds show defending champion and 2022 runner-up Tony Finau (+900) as the prohibitive favorite.
Last week’s final round 62 by Hideki Matsuyama in The Genesis Invitational gave the Japanese star his 9th PGA Tour victory. It was also the eighth straight winner on Tour this year with odds of 70/1 or greater.

Generous fairways and receptive Paspalum greens with little undulation should make for low scores. But watch the weather for high winds off the Pacific coastline.

Check back for tournament matchup picks. I’m looking for more on Stephan Jaeger, and even Nicolai Hojgaard, than against each other. One major leading online sportsbook has not posted matchups as of Tuesday evening.
Fairway’s Favorites: Nicolai Hojgaard, Stephen Jaeger, Keith Mitchell, Davis Thompson
Fairway’s Longshots: Eric van Rooyen, Patrick Rodgers, Maverick McNealy, Harry Hall
Tournament Match-up: Pass
Round 1: Pass
Chip-in for tournament additional match-up picks.
There may be fewer tournament matchup picks posted in 2024 with coverage across various platforms. I’ll try to add more picks and props and update more coverage as time allows and I dig deeper into strokes gained stats and weekly tournaments. Reach me directly at [email protected] for questions and select picks I bet on beyond what’s posted here.
Next week it’s the Cognizant Classic (former Honda Classic) in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida to tee off the month of March.
Recap: Stephen Jaeger finished T3. Bet Top 20. Jake Knapp (43/1), age 29, wins his first PGA Tour title in his 9th start. Knapp shoots -19 under par, 265 total and wins by 2-shots over Finland’s Sami Valimaki, 25, who was playing in just his 11th PGA Tour event.

More than a decade ago I was a lead golf handicapper and analyst on a popular sports handicapping radio show out of Las Vegas whose picks were provided to a betting syndicate. I continue my golf coverage in a different format, and provide my experience and intuitive feel for the game and betting acumen to provide golf picks and chip-in added insight with information you can bet on.
This season, I’ll again shoot to add more Round 1 matchup bets. I will limit tournament matchups posted on these pages, but have more available to those bettors that chip-in and wish to correspond with me directly. You can email me at [email protected] for more picks and information you can bet on.
