Thursday Night NFL Betting Preview Chargers-Raiders in Las Vegas
The Week 15 Thursday Night Football feature is a battle at the bottom of the AFC West when the Los Angeles Chargers (5-8) tackle the Las Vegas Raiders (5-8) at Allegiant Stadium off the Los Vegas Strip. That Week 15 Chargers-Raiders contest on Dec. 15 is a far cry from the Thursday Night Football game between the two teams back in 2020 when the Raiders were still in the playofff picture. Or the Sunday Night Showdown in 2022 between the Chargers-Raiders in Las Vegas in a playoff play-in game with the Raiders advancing to the playoffs while knocking the Chargers out of a playoff spot.
The home team has covered five straight games in this division series, but the Raiders (-3) are clearly a risk laying points despite the Chargers playing without injured stars QB Justin Herbert and WR Keenan Allen.
I provide more insight, analysis and information you can bet on in the Chargers-Raiders Dec. 15 matchup in my coverage in Forbes. That includes prop bets and other watch and wager interest with Chargers RB Austin Ekeler a key player to target in the AFC West matchup.
- The player props on Austin Ekeler to go over his rushing (46.5) and receiving (29.5) yards and combined yards are in play to target. Ekeler should be the key player on the field tonight with the Raiders defense allowing running backs a total of 139 rushing and receiving yards per game. Alternate yards at bigger plus (+) odds are worth playing as well.
I could only side with the Chargers, and while the game total is very low (34.5), I still bet Chargers team total ‘over’ 6.5 points! Looks like a layup, even laying more vig, as both teams have nothing to lose and we saw how the public overreacted to the Patriots-Steelers low total of 30.5 last Thursday night only to go over the total in the first half with the Patriots 21-18 win triggering the start to our 7-0 Week 14 results.
