PGA Tour Odds And Picks for 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson Shootout

The 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson has another prohibitive favorite with Scottie Scheffler at +360 to win. A vast majority of golf bettors don’t adhere to understanding value, and the sportsbooks continue to clean house on outright betting on weekly PGA Tour events.

Despite ridiculously low odds on Scheffler, who has finished T-15 and T-47 at the AT&T Byron Nelson tournament the last two years at TPC Craig Ranch, bettors are loading up on the world No. 2 golfer. As I outlined in my PGA Tour and AT&T Byron Nelson preview and tournament coverage for Forbes, Scheffler is taking an amazing 28% of the win bets and 33% of the money (handle) as of Wednesday afternoon at DraftKings Sportsbook.

I chip-in other AT&T Byron Nelson golf coverage and previews including dark horse picks for FanDuel and The Duel Sports.

I add favorites and longshots below along with a tournament match-up pick.

In my previews and added research, I use strokes gained data to isolate more players and stats that may or may not fit for the course while also considering current form.

AT&T Byron Nelson Picks 2023

Fairway’s Favorites: Tyrrell Hatton, Si Woo Kim, Seamus Power, Davis Riley

Last year we had the Round 1 and 3 leader to win in Sebastian Munoz (+8000), but he couldn’t hold up and finished 2-shots behind winner K.H. Lee in the 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson.

Next week it’s the 2023 PGA Championship at Oak Hill East Course in Rochester, New York.

You may recall last year on these pages we had 200/1 longshot Mito Pereira as one of our outright win bets in the 2022 PGA Championship, along with a bigger bet and additional potential 4-figure payday on Will Zalatoris. Pereira had a 1-shot lead standing on the 72nd hole. A par and we cash in at 200/1. A bogey and he’s in a 3-way play with Zalatoris and Justin Thomas. Pereira managed to hit his tee shot in the water on 18, make double bogey and shoot a final round of 75 to miss the playoff and his first Tour and major win. Pereira had the longest active streak on Tour with 19 rounds of par of better into Sunday’s final round. Zalatoris lost to Justin Thomas in the playoff. And you thought you took some bad beats in golf.
