The Memorial Tournament 2025 Golf Odds And Picks

My past previews of The Memorial Tournament with key stats, comparable odds and information you can bet on is available in Forbes. The 7,569 yard Par 72 at Muifield Village Golf Club will challenge a limited field of 72 top PGA Tour golfers, but not world No. 2 Rory McIlroy. All players in the top 50 of the FedExCup Standings are eligible for The Memorial Tournament 2025 Signature Event.

Scottie Scheffler will aim to defend his title as 18-time major champion Jack Nicklaus plays tournament host at the season’s penultimate Signature Event, where I also outline last year’s top finishers and odds with Collin Morikawa finishing runner-up. Both Ludvig Aberg and Sepp Straka finished T5 with Xander Schauffele (T8), Hideki Matsuyama (T8), Sungjae Im (T8) and Tony Finau (T8) also top-10 last year.

Key Stats

Approach play stats are still more significant than driving stats for the Memorial Tournament 2025 event at Muirfield Village. Key stats from Fantasy National as researched and provided.

  • Strokes Gained: Around the Green
  • Strokes Gained: Approach and Ball Striking
  • Strokes Gained: Putting (on bentgrass)
  • Strokes Gained: Tee-to-Green / Off the Tee
  • Par-4 Scoring (focus 450-500 yards)
  • Proximity to Hole (150-200+ yards)

Making birdies on Par 5’s is where scoring is made at Muirfield, and additional strokes gained data is in my tournament coverage in Forbes.

Memorial Tournament 2024 Picks

Fairway’s Favorites: Morikawa, Aberg, Fleetwood, Matsuyama, Conners
Fairway’s Longshots: Lowry, McCarthy, Sungjae Im, Cauley, Byeong Hun An

Tournament Match-ups: McCarthy (-110) over Henley

Past Memorial Tournament winners include Billy Horschel, who was an underdog and he won the tournament outright in 2022.

I’ll return next week to add more picks and match-ups for the RBC Canadian Open, where we had the winner Billy Horschel as our top match-up play for an easy winner in 2023.

PGA tournament matchups winners posted in Forbes from Jan-April include 2-0 in the Pebble Beach Pro-Am with tournament winner Rory McIlroy over Scottie Scheffler. Phoenix Open followers of FairwayJay went 1-0 with Justin Thomas (T6) over Hideki Matsuyama plus Justin Thomas over Xander Schauffele in The Players Championship, 1-0 in the Mexico Open at VidantaWorld and Houston Open winner Min Woo Lee also a tournament matchup winner. The Masters outright winner Rory McIlroy was another matchup winner over Scottie Scheffler as a big plus underdog again. Daniel Berger was the winner (1-0) in our RBC Heritage matchup at Harbour Town. A 2-0 tournament matchup result in the Truist Championship with both picks Mitchell and Cantlay winning easily and performing very well with top 10 finishes.
