Pebble Beach Pro-Am Betting Preview And Picks

I was traveling last week and it got tight with other commitments, so I missed posting and betting the Farmers Insurance Open. Good thing, as I had targeted Tony Finau as a player of interest and potential tournament match-up. Finau missed the cut, and we’ll head to beautiful Monterey for this week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am played over three spectacular and scenic courses along the California coastline.

  • Pebble Beach Golf Links – 6,972 yards, Par 72
  • Spyglass Hill – 7,041 yards, Par 72
  • Monterey Peninsula Country Club – 6,957 yards, Par 71

I add golf odds and betting information here, along with tournament picks and match-ups, which are 3-0 this year and follows last year’s 21-15 tournament match-up record through the FedExCup Playoffs and 17-5 from Jan. – May.

Additional chip-in winners in single round match-ups from The American Express, so follow along for other additions as research and time allows.

2022 Pebble Beach Pro-Am Odds

Odds to win from the SuperBook Las Vegas.

The California Swing

I chip-in additional Pebble Beach Pro-Am coverage for PlayUSA sites and regional coverage for weekly PGA Tour events. That includes the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and West Coast Swing through California. The American Express event was won by huge longshot Hudson Swafford (150/1), who was 225/1 at Circa Las Vegas, which often offers the best odds on golfers to win. Last week Luke List (83/1, Circa) won in a playoff over Will Zalatoris in the Farmers Insurance Open.

I add more AT&T Pebble Beach coverage for FanDuel with longshots and players to watch.

Chez Reavie has a better chance for a top-10 finish (+850) this week as a veteran longshot who hits it accurately. Reavie finished T2 in this event in 2018, T25 in 2020 and T16 last year following a poor opening round of 74. He also was the first round leader in 2016 after shooting 63 at Pebble Beach. With a tougher layout and conditions in the 2019 US Open at Pebble Beach, Reavie finished T3. Over his last 36 rounds, Reavie is top 5 in this field in Strokes Gained Approach, and top 15 in Ball Striking and Tee-to-Green. While his putting is a real weakness, he’s average on Tour putting on Poa annua which is on all three courses this week.

Next week the PGA Tour heads to Scottsdale for the Phoenix Open, a fan favorite to follow over Super Bowl weekend. Then it’s back to California for the final event of the West Coast Swing in Pacific Palisades at Riviera CC for The Genesis Invitational. That’s where we hit Big Bertha for a nice tournament match-up score on Golfer to Watch Lanto Griffin last year as part of our top of the leaderboard results and 17-5 tournament match-up start to the season.
