NFL Week 2 Perfection Reflection
NFL Handicapping – 10-0 Week 2 was a historic week for FairwayJay
Week 2 of the NFL season invariably brings back great memories for FairwayJay. A Las Vegas sports handicapper and analyst, FairwayJay provided his followers a week 2 to remember in the 2009 season. At that time FairwayJay was a regular guest on a weekly radio show in Las Vegas providing insight and analysis, and heard nationwide on SiriusXM Radio for NFL handicapping and betting discussion.
That particular week, FairwayJay released the biggest NFL selection card of his professional career – and went a perfect 10-0! He provided the entire world his written analysis of those week 2 games and selections.
Here is the public post with analysis for every game on the NFL card that week.
Saints (-1)…Win 48-22

NY Jets (+3.5)…Win 16-9
NY Jets/Patriots under 45.5…Win 16-9

Week 1 of each NFL season is often a difficult one for many sports bettors. This past weekend, underdogs ruled the early day as did ‘under’ the total plays. The favorites caught up in the afternoon and evening games, and Monday the Vikings covered as home favorite as well. Public perception is often about supporting last year’s winning teams and fading the ‘bad’ teams. But that’s just not how the NFL works, and week 2 is often another reminder of that with an over-reaction to week 1 results. How many bettors, and especially recreational and public bettors are going to bet on the Colts, 49ers, NY Jets or even the Browns and Jaguars in week 2?
While many of the results seem surprising each week, it’s often the sports books who get the money when the ugly ‘Dogs cash in, which was the case for the ugliest ‘Dogs in week 1 with the Jaguars, Browns, Bears, Lions and even the Chiefs against the powerful Patriots cashing in. History shows that week 2 invariably provides more surprises and upsets, along with some focused and determined efforts as teams try to avoid going 0-2.
FairwayJay has had some strong starts to the NFL season, including in 2015 when he started 16-3-1 ATS in the NFL SuperContest @LVSuperBook in Las Vegas. In 2016, FairwayJay hit all 7 plays as part of a small parlay that paid $1,700. You can follow Fairways Football Forecast and FairwayJay with his new weekly Pro Football Challenge where he selects four underdog plays each week. He went 3-1 ATS to start the 2017 season.
This week there are four games in which winless teams (0-1) are matched-up and also five games in which undefeated teams (1-0) are playing. The defenses figure to bring a focused and stronger effort in the winless teams match-ups, as teams try to avoid an 0-2 start.
