NFL Lookahead Lines – Week 4
LVH in Las Vegas posts NFL Lookahead Lines – Week 4
Each week during the NFL season, the LVH Superbook in Las Vegas (formerly the Hilton) releases the betting lines for the following week’s games. These lines offer a glimpse at the projected betting lines at least 10 days in advance of the games.
These advance lines can be useful in not only projecting ahead to next week’s games and lines, but also to keep you from over-reacting to one game or the upcoming games results.
Prior to week 3, the two biggest favorites on the advance/lookahead lines were projected to be:
Seattle -16.5 over Jacksonville
Denver -16 over Oakland (Monday)
Following the week 2 games and results, the Seahawks are now a 19-point favorite over the Jaguars at LVH and 19.5 across the board at most other Las Vegas Sportsbooks. The Broncos are a 15-point favorite at LVH with some 15.5 at a few other Las Vegas Sportsbooks.
One other betting line of note is Kansas City at Philadelphia on Thursday night, as the LVH advance line was Eagles -5 and the current betting line is Eagles -3 (-120). This game will have plenty of betting interest and storylines with current KC coach Andy Reid returning to face his former team and new Eagles coach Chip Kelly. This is the third-straight Eagles game with a posted total above 50, and the first two games went flying over the total with both games involving the Eagles resulting in 60+ points scored. Philadelphia is averaging 477 ypg through two contests and their scoring and pace of play has been lightning fast. The Eagles have averaged less than 2 minutes per possession on their 11 scoring drives.
Best wishes as you shoot for more birdies and green on the gridiron, and remember to watch and follow the NFL advance lines.
