Rams and Total Highlight a Huge 9-1 Week for Fairway’s Followers

Sunday NFL was a monster day for us and Fairway’s Followers and members, going 9-1 ATS including 5-0 on Top Plays. Our lone loser was the Vikings and our totals went 4-0 (after going 0-3 last week). The Steelers and NY Giants were added to our card as side plays and all four of our weekly plays from Fairway’s Football Forecast made the card. We noted some additional Week 4 situations and scoring t0 support in another weekly article that guided us to evaluate the Rams – Cowboys match-up further and then Fire away to the Green.

Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley (30) sprints to the end zone vs the Dallas Cowboys

It’s not too late to bet the Rams to win the NFC West division or the NFC. Still, some teams get off to fast starts and cannot sustain success or have injuries that derail them. The Vikings started 5-0 last year and failed to make the playoffs. The Rams are on their way though, and we cashed a pair of Top Plays on LA and the over in the Rams 35-30 win over the Cowboys. Here was the analysis as part of my weekly Pro Football Challenge and Fairway’s Football Forecast that I publish every week – now 10-6 ATS through 4 weeks. The Eagles and Rams, along with both games ‘over’ the total all made our Top Play list.

LA Rams at DallasThe 1ST PLACE Rams are off to a 2-1 start and bettors have been reluctant to get behind them. Until this week, as early week bettors got in bed with the Rams and took some of their appeal away. Sports books have dropped Dallas from an 8-point favorite to -6.5 and -6 in many offshore shops. Quarterback Goff has surprised many as well with his improved play that has put him among the top leaders in QB rating and No.1 in yards-per-pass attempt. Goff is growing into his role as a franchise QB in an ideal offensive system under new, young and creative head coach Sean McVay. Los Angeles’ offense is a deliberate amalgamation of the Patriots, Saints and Falcons, using pre-snap motion, WR release concepts and downfield route combinations. Mixed in is merger of their passing and outside zone running game. An ugly, mistake-sealing INT vs Washington was followed with a dazzling display in torching a tired but talented 49ers defense on the road for nearly 300 yards and 3 TD’s. Now Goff and the Rams offense fires away at Dallas, while also having one of the leagues’ best backs running behind him in Todd Gurley. The offensive line is improved, and the Rams should get their share of scoring opportunities against a young Cowboys secondary that only has one reliable DB in Scandrick. And with LB Sean Lee a game time decision (hamstring) and likely not to make post, the Dallas defense would become more deficient. Off a Thursday night game, the Rams are in a favorable spot catching the Cowboys off a Monday night win at Arizona with Dallas 0-8 SU and 1-7 ATS following a Monday night lights game. In a game I also played over the total with my Driver, we ride the Rams looking for more offensive production and another Birdie to get the Green.
