All four No. 1 seeds and No. 2 seeds have advanced to the Sweet Sixteen in the 2024 NCAA Tournament – No. 1 Connecticut and North Carolina and No. 2 Iowa State and Arizona in the East and West Regions, and No. 1 Houston and Purdue along with No. 2 Marquette and Tennessee in the South and Midwest regions.

No. 1 seeds are now 89-27 SU in the Sweet 16 (1-4 SU/0-5 ATS last 2 years). That includes 74-27 SU vs. teams seeded #4 or #5 (1-4 SU/0-5 ATS last 2 years). Until 2015, #1 seeds were getting bounced out of this round going back to 2010, but in the last eight editions (not including 2020 with no tournament) #1 seeds are #1 seeds are 19-5 SU (0-2 last year) and 14-10 ATS (0-2 last year) in the Sweet Sixteen. That included a 10-0 SU and 9-1 ATS run from 2015-2017 (or 9-0-1 as Gonzaga line closed 3 in 2017).
