MLB Handicapping – Top Starting Pitchers At Home

MLB Handicapping – Top Starting Pitchers At Home

The MLB season has passed the 65 game mark with less than 100 games to go until the boys of summer begin postseason play.  As we see annually in Major League Baseball, parity is prominent as the 60/40 rule takes hold.  Just two teams are playing better than .600 baseball – San Francisco and Oakland – while one team is playing sub-.400 ball, Tampa Bay, who had recently lost 13 of their last 14 games to fall below that mark with the worst record in baseball.

Despite the balance, we annually see some starting pitchers dominating the game while others struggle along with fans and bettors wondering how these guys can continue to stay in the rotation.  Certainly some of them are released, demoted or traded, but the value of strong starting pitching and those arms that can provide quality starts and even dominate are of significant value.

Such is the case of this year’s top starting pitchers.  I’ve outline this year’s top pitchers and performers at home.  But I also dug deeper and provided the pitchers who have dominated the past 4 years and over the past decade while doing their best work at their home park.
