Golf Betting And Field Very Strong At Travelers Championship

The interest and growth in golf betting continues this week with another star-studded field at the Travelers Championship. The field playing at TPC River Highlands is the strongest ever for the tournament with nine of the top-10 and 33 of the top 50 in the World Golf Rankings taking a swing down the stretch of holes and the “Golden Triangle”.

I chipped in more coverage again this week in my article at Forbes, where I interviewed DraftKings sportsbook director Johnny Avello, a former longtime race and sports director at the Wynn Las Vegas and Bally’s.

“The golf handle has been phenomenal,” Avello told me as the golf betting boom continues at the 2020 Travelers Championship with a star-studded field.

Plenty of stats to evaluate and you try to stick it close to the pin in your pursuit of more profit and green. Golfers that are accurate with their short irons will have the best chance to make more putts this week.

TPC River Highlands had more than 1,100 approach shots last year from 125 to 150 yards, the 3rd-highest total of any course on the PGA Tour last season.
