Farmers Insurance Open 2026 Golf Odds And Betting Tips For Torrey Pines
The PGA Tour West Coast swing continues in La Jolla as the pros tee it up just North of San Diego at Torrey Pines for the Farmers Insurance Open 2026 event. I provide a tournament preview with player profiles, odds, insight and picks with information you can bet on at BetOnline.
Last week we had the third round leader at The American Express event in Si Woo Kim, who won our posted matchup before falling to T6. Some solid showings across the board including from the tournament winner, favorite and world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.
The 147 player Farmers field includes 12 of the top 25 and 27 of the top 50 in the world golf rankings, but not any of the top 5 players in the OWGR – Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood, Russell Henley or Robert McIntyre.
Golf Courses and Odds to Win the Farmers Insurance Open 2026
- Torrey Pines North Course – 7,258 yards, Par 72 (1 round)
- Torrey Pines South Course — 7,765 yards, Par 72 (3 rounds)
A hole-by-hole look at the Torrey Pines South Course, which has Poa Annua greens that average 5,000 square feet. Those were the fifth smallest greens on Tour last year (Tour ave. 6,000 sq ft). But the Par 72 course was the longest on Tour last year at 7,765 yards and plays long and difficult with narrow (24-27 yards) and softer fairways, cooler air and tougher to putt Poa greens.
Torrey Pines is the most difficult course on Tour to hit putts inside 15 feet, as the imperfections and distinctly bumpy surfaces result in more uneven and harder to read putts. There are 82 sand bunkers to navigate but water is in play on just one hole. Thick and healthy ryegrass fairways and rough (4’ inches) was aided by successful overseeding which is key with the public North and South courses drawing more than 80,000 rounds of golf per year. The Farmers Insurance Open will play one round over the Par 72 North Course, which plays to 7,258 yards with Tour average size greens.
Driving distance is elevated this week along with long iron strength and proximity from 200+ yards with about ⅓ of the approach shots from 200 or more yards on the South Course. A top-tier short game and putting on Poa will help golfers in tougher scoring conditions. There are seven Par 4’s that measure over 450 yards on the South Course, three par 3’s of 200+ yards and two par 5’s longer than 600 yards.

I have some player profiles as well added to 2026 Farmers Insurance Open picks and props, and just some select information for now. That includes added stats and strokes gained data.
Wyndham Clark – A top 15 at last week’s American Express after falling back in the final round, and top 10 to finish 2025, the 2023 U.S. Open champion in Los Angeles is finding his groove again. The 32-year-old former world No. 3 is currently No. 49, and his confidence is growing with a new coach, change of equipment and dialed in putter. He said last week his game is “starting to feel really good,” and his stats, profile and results fit well at Torrey Pines with Clark also one of the longest drivers on Tour (320+ yards ave). Clark has also won at coastal Pebble Beach, and sat top 10 at Torrey through 36 holes in last year’s Genesis before falling back. He’s 3-for-3 making the cut at The Farmers since 2021 and should improve on his best T37 finish.
Will Zalatoris turns 30 this summer, and it’s hard to believe the former world No. 7 player has fallen outside the top 200 in the OWGR. Still, his odds support the strength of his game, which includes a 54-hole lead here in 2022 when he missed a putt inside 10 feet on the 72nd hole and then lost in a playoff. Two other top 15 finishes in this event plus eight top 10’s in Majors show his talent and ability with his exceptional ball striking and iron play providing solid results at Torrey Pines. Improved putting in more recent events suggest he can contend again.
Maverick McNearly finished runner-up in last year’s Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines despite an opening round 75. A field-best final round 64 left him 1-shot behind Ludvig Aberg, and he led the field in SG Putting and second in Approach. The 30-year-olds breakthrough season included seven top 10’s with strong finishes in most competitive Signature Events and FedExCup Playoffs. The former Stanford stud and world No. 1 amateur has the tools and game to contend again.
Next week it’s the Phoenix Open, where “The People’s Open’ draws big, roudy crowns at TPC Scottsdale. We had a tournament matchup winner in the 2025 Phoenix Open on Justin Thomas (T6) over Hideki Matsuyama.
Our posted tournament matchup picks are 2-0 to start 2026 with winners in the Sony Open and American Express.
