College Basketball – Analysis of a Winning Wager
Fairway Jay Handicapping College Basketball – Analysis of a Winning Wager
Still time to join us for a weekend of winners as the remarkable run of profit-producing results continues from February and into March. As more people become Fairway Followers and Membership grows, know that the current price to join is miniscule in comparison to the amount of money you will win. Or for Members that have been with me this season and especially since the start of February where we hit 63% winners in the month on over 115 plays, they have found a handicapper and caddie they can count on to make birdies and get the green.
Friday, March 14 was another Top Play winner as we released Tennessee (-10) over South Carolina, and the line steamed up to 12 as game time neared. No worry, as the Vols rolled over the Gamecocks 59-44 with the impotent SC offense failing to rise up as mentioned in my analysis below with their poor-shooting offense. Jarnell Stokes scored 22 points and dominated the paint with 15 rebounds as the Vols held down the ‘Cocks to just 27% FG.
Enjoy the analysis below, and join me for the NCAA Tournament and make this year a profitable one as you shoot for more birdies and green on the hardwood.
South Carolina is on a 3-0 SU/ATS run following back-to-back SEC Tourney wins as underdog over Auburn and Arkansas. Don’t get too excited for the ‘Cocks. Both those teams had losing records in SEC play and while South Carolina lost to both on the road in the past month before a bounce back the past 2 days, they are going to get rolled by the Vols. South Carolina is still a underachieving and losing team at 14-19 and recall they lost at Tennessee 72-53 in early February. Tennessee’s interior strength with Stokes and Maymon, 2 of the top 3 rebounders in the SEC, helped Tennessee lead the league in rebounding margin (+9) while SC had the most turnovers in SEC action and worst Assist/TO ratio. Stokes also led the SEC in FG shooting at 56%. South Carolina shot just 40% in league play while the Vols allow just 40% shooting. Tennessee was also #2 in SEC FG% and scoring margin. Motivation comes in the form of Tennessee hearing rumblings they are not quite NCAA Tournament worthy and situation works against South Carolina off 3-straight outright ‘Dog wins. 6 of the Vols last 7 wins have been by at least 16 points and another one is in the making Friday as the Vols rise to the occasion and roll over the ‘Cocks.
