TVG Juvenile
The TVG Juvenile is the headliner, and the race ranks as North America’s season-defining championship for 2-year-olds and geldings. The TVG odds show an average payout in this race of more than $18. Game Winner (1/1) won the 2018 edition as the even money favorite to return $4, but two huge longshots finished second and third to provide some strong Exacta and Trifecta payouts including $482 on the .50 cent Trifecta. Then last year, 2019 winner Storm the Court (45/1) became the biggest longshot to win the race. Fans and bettors enjoyed a big bonus with a $2 win bet returning $93.80. A $1 Exacta paid $488 and .50 cent Trifecta $1,965.
That’s part of what makes the Breeders’ Cup so exciting, as larger fields of world class runners provide an opportunty for bigger payouts. There are 14 selected horses pre-entered for the TVG Breeders’ Cup Juvenile and three of them won Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series races – Jackie’s Warrior, Essential Quality and Sittin On Go. Steve Asmussen-trained Jackie’s Warrior (4-for-4) is undefeated and will be the most popular bet on Friday as the TVG Breeders’ Cup Juvenile favorite.
The Future Stars Friday races are sure to provide plenty of excitement and some bigger payouts in advance of the biggest day of racing for Saturday’s nine Breeders’ Cup races. That includes the $6 million Breeders’ Cup Classic with 2020 Belmont Stakes and Travers winner Tiz the Law. Also, 2020 Kentucky Derby winner Authentic and 2019 disqualified Kentucky Derby winner Maxiumum Security along with Improbable are all in the BC Classic. All three are trained by Bob Baffert, and Improbable enters as the hottest horse winning three straight Grade 1 races since June.
It should be another great Breeders’ Cup Classic and Saturday day of racing following Future Stars Friday.
You can bet on it.
