Betting Odds, Picks And Preview For 2022 Travelers Championship

I’ve been traveling since the 2022 U.S. Open, and little practice and preparation for the 2022 Travelers Championship. Played on the shortest par 70 course on Tour and the second-shortest course overall at 6,852 yards, TPC River Highlands has delivered exciting tournaments and is annually one of the top-3 attendance draws on the PGA Tour.

Five of the top six players in the world rankings lead the field. Another tight finish is expected with five of the past 11 Travelers Championships ending in a playoff.

I chip-in a brief 2022 Travelers Championship tournament preview and other PGA Tour news in my update for PlayUSA and Play Massachusetts. And also chip-in for FanDuel and The Duel Sports with three dark horse picks at longshot odds to win or contend with top finishing position bets a better way to manage your money and bankroll.

PGA Tour Changes

Today, June 22, the PGA Tour announced schedule changes for the 2023 season and beginning in 2024 a calendar year schedule. Read the full details on the PGA Tour’s significant changes. To combat some of the LIV Golf Series defections, the PGA Tour will have significant purse increases on eight events in 2023 with seven tournaments paying out at least $20 million in prize money.

Following the 2022 Travelers Championship, the PGA Tour players head to TPC Deere Run in Illinois for the John Deere Classic June 30 through July 3. Many other pro golfers head overseas for the Scottish Open July 7-10 ahead of the (British) Open Championship at St. Andrew’s Old Course July 14-17.

Post tournament update: Harman (-11) finishes top-10 and wins match-up over Varner (-5) to run the 2022 posted tournament match-up record to 15-8. Las Vegas resident Xander Schauffele wins (-19) while Patrick Cantlay fades badly in final group Sunday.
