AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Picks

Fairway’s Favorites: McIlroy, Fleetwood, Hovland, McNealy
Fairway’s Longshots: Fitzpatrick, Cantlay, Day, Michael Kim

Tournament Matchups:

  • McIlroy (+265) over Scheffler
  • Hovland (+116) over Si Woo Kim
  • Day (+117) over Gotterup.

Top 10 or 20 finish: Day (+400/+185)

Jason Day finished T13 and T6 in this event the last two years including shooting 63 on Saturday in the shortened 2024 tournament. The 38-year-old also finished top 5 in this event five straight years starting in 2017. Day started 2026 with a T2 place finish at The American Express and top 40 at the Farmers event where long driving is needed more. That’s not the case this week at Pebble Beach or Spyglass. Day ranks sixth on Tour this year in SG: Approach and top 15 in Greens in Regulation. His short game and putting have been a strength for years, and through two starts this year Day ranks top 15 in SG: Putting and top 10 total putting. Jason Day offers more value and a better fit with proven performances at Pebble Beach.

Next week it’s another Signature Event at Riviera CC for the Genesis Invitational.

Golf Betting Notes and History from FairwayJay

My golf coverage and research includes use and references from sites at Data Golf along with Fantasy National, and others. I gain added information from handicappers, analysts, colleagues and media members while researching course stats and previews with previous weekly coverage in my PGA tournament updates in Forbes. That includes top golf insider Justin Ray Golf, who contributes to PGA Tour (dot com) and The Athletic with insightful stats. The site GolfStats has also has player performance charts and a player competitor tool plus added stats and previews.

I’ve added my own player profiles pieces for select majors and events including 2025 Masters, 2025 Players Championship and trends. You can review those alogn with others from 2024 in Forbes for The Player Championship and Masters top 9 and top 18 golfers plus 12 top golfers at the Open Championship at Royal Troon.

More than a decade ago I was a lead golf handicapper and analyst on a popular sports handicapping radio show out of Las Vegas whose picks were provided to a betting syndicate. I continue my golf coverage in a different format, and provide my experience and intuitive feel for the game and betting acumen to provide golf picks and chip-in added insight with information you can bet on.

This season, I’ll again shoot to add select Round 1 matchup bets. I may limit tournament matchups posted on these pages, but have more available to those bettors that chip-in and wish to correspond with me directly. You can email me at FairwayJay@gmail.com for more picks and information you can bet on. Having been a proven performer for decades, I’ve posted picks in 2021 and 2022 on Vegas Sports Zone and tournament match-ups were 41-27.

2022 PGA Tour tournament match-up picks finished 20-12 and concluded with the TOUR Championship.

The 2021 tournament match-ups finished 21-15 following a 17-5 start January through May.
