NFL 2025 Week 1 Tips, Trends And Totals

Pro football has returned for meaningful games and NFL 2025 Week 1 kicks off this week with high expectations surrounding the Super Bowl champions Philadelphia Eagles as they tackle the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday. I’ll be adding weekly tips, trends and totals along with picks, parlays and props on a select basis with inital information you can bet on weekly at Off Shore Gaming Assocation including Week 1.

I’ll be adding underdog picks to the mix, but after a 7-year run hitting 57% ATS posting at OSGA and Vegas Sports Zone before last year’s second half record results for favorites, we’ll add other picks including totals and tips with information you can bet on for NFL 2025 betting.

Betting Angle: Divisional home underdogs are 19-12-1 straight up (SU) and 24-8 against the spread (ATS) in Week 1 since 2009. Last season those home division ‘Dogs were 0-1 SU/1-0 ATS (Colts), and just 2-4 SU/ATS in 2023, but we had both winners SU/ATS on our Week 1 underdog picks (Browns & Jets).

Also, a top sportsbook reports that all NFL 2025 Week 1 underdogs have hit greater than 55% ATS the last 12 seasons going 104-84-4 ATS (7-9 and 10-6 ATS last 2 years) with divisional ‘Dogs 41-20-1 ATS (67%) home or away (0-3 SU/1-2 ATS last year.

Since 2010, underdogs of 6 or more points in NFL Week 1 have gone 41-27-1 (60%) ATS per @Bet_Labs ✅

BetMGM through BetLabs data also reports than since 2010, NFL favorites getting +50% of bets have gone 79-100-2 (44%) ATS per.

Currently, 14 of the 16 favorites in Week 1 have +50% of bets to cover.
