Big 12 Football 2025 Odds, Schedules, Tips

The Big 12 football 2025 predictions are tougher with a wide open race expected following last season’s chaotic results that saw projected last place finisher Arizona State win the Big 12 championship. That resulted in no Big 12 media poll this season, but I’ve outlined the teams below with odds and information you can bet on.

Additional team notes, stats and updates are in my Big 12 preview coverage at Off Shore Gaming Association with notes added here in weeks ahead.

I do like Baylor as a top win contender in 2025 with an experienced core, cohesive coaching units and top senior QB operating behind a highly-rated Big 12 offensive line.

College Football analyst Phil Steele rates Utah (2) and Cincinnati (8) on his top-12 Most Improved teams list with Utah (4), Arizona State (6), Baylor (8), Iowa State (11) among the top 2025 Surprise Teams list along with Kansas State (13), TCU (16) and Texas Tech (17).

Notes: Bye Weeks 7 and 11. The Bears open the first month of football in September with one of the toughest schedules in the country vs. Auburn, at SMU and back home vs. Arizona State. But the offense looks ready to explode after averaging 34 points per game last season, and Aranda is a defensive specialist with the Bears defense better than 26.7 PPG allowed last season. Bye weeks before playing at TCU and home vs. Utah sets up well, along with the Bears top-rated special teams.
