NFL Wild Card 2025 Odds, Stats And Picks
The NFL playoff bracket is set, and Wild Card weekend kicks off the 2025 playoffs with six games. That includes the Monday Night Football feature when the Minnesota Vikings (14-3) tackle the Los Angeles Rams (10-7) with the game being moved from Los Angeles to Glendale, Arizona due to the devastating wildfires. Leading online sportsbooks have made the Vikings and Chargers road favorites in the wild card round with AFC LA Chargers (11-6) at Houston Texans (10-7) the opening game Saturday, Jan. 11.

NFL Wild Card Picks
LA Chargers at Houston – the stats don’t look good for the Chargers against all playoff teams, but clearly Houston is one of the weaker ones. This is a simple handicap in black and white for Fairway’s Forecast. It’s Harbaugh and Herbert vs. Ryans and Stroud. Sure the Chargers are a slightly inflated favorite based on power ratings and play. But recall Week 17 when the other Harbaugh coach, John, led the Ravens and their No. 1 running game into Houston for a trouncing of the Texans 31-2 with 251 rushing yards while shutting down the scuffling Texans offense that hasn’t scored more than 23 points in a game since before Thanksgiving. Jim Harbaugh will take note, and utilize his elite quarterback Justin Herbert, who did not even make the Pro Bowl and would have been No. 1 in the NFC. Neither did Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, but we’ll discuss that next week when the Chargers go to Kansas City after taking care of the Texans. Opinion: Chargers
Pittsburgh at Baltimore – Lean Ravens way in AFC North rivalry with Baltimore featuring the league’s No. 1 offense and yards per play differential (+1.6) with potent backfield of MVP Lamar Jackson and AFC’s leading rusher Derrick Henry. The Ravens won their last four games by 17 points or more including 34-17 over the Steelers on this field. The Steelers have lost 4-straight entering the playoffs and “they were who we thought they were.”
Denver at Buffalo – Broncos rookie QB Bo Nix threw 29 touchdown passes – 2nd most all-time by a rookie quarterback. He’s yet to play in Buffalo – the most difficult stadium for a young or inexperienced quarterback. End of the line for the surprising Broncos. Will it be a double-digit loss? Lean: Bills.

Green Bay at Philadelphia – This line is rising up to -5 or -5.5 with the likely return of QB Jalen Hurts (concussion). Eagles defense ranked No. 1 this season allowing 278 yards per game at 4.7 yards per play. Opinion: Eagles
Washington at Tampa Bay – Pick on Buccaneers with a player prop Under 74.5 receiving yards on Bucs WR Mike Evans. The Commanders join the Vikings as NFC‘s new playoff teams this season and two most improved teams with Rookie of the Year QB Jayden Daniels and Comeback Player of the Year Sam Darnold. Both made the Pro Bowl. That’s a little slight to Bucs QB Baker Mayfield, who had a higher QB rating and 41 TD passes with 4,500 passing yards – second in NFC behind Lions QB Jared Goff. Baker Mayfield and the Bucs offense should tear through a Commanders defense that is below average by expected points added (EPA) per play while facing a majority of backup quarterbacks since mid-Nov.
Minnesota vs. LA Rams – Pick Over total.
