Fairways Football Forecast and NFL Underdog Picks are 9-3 ATS in 2024 and > 57% ATS last 7+ years

Fairways Football Forecast won for the third straight week to kickoff the 2024 NFL season. A 2-1 ATS result in Week 3 including a pair of outright underdog winners. That followed 4-1-1 ATS in Week 2 and 3-1 ATS in Week 1 to run our strong start to 9-3 ATS with 6 outright underdog winners posting picks initially at OSGA and following up at Vegas Sports Zone. I’ve chipped in a NFL Picks Week 4 underdog selection for the Thursday night Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants game and more game analysis and information you can bet on at Off Shore Gaming Association.

I’ve also added an update on NFL rushing stats with handicapping tips and tools you can use.

Now in my 8th year posting NFL underdog picks at OSGA and Vegas Sports Zone, our picks have hit at greater than 57% ATS (199-147) with 116 outright winners while also providing additional information you can bet on to assist you to learn as you earn.

Last season was a small winnning one that included a strong 11-1 ATS finish in December which was part of a 7-0 ATS result in Week 14 with seven outright winners. Recall Fairways Football Forecast had an unprecedented 70% season (28-12 ATS) in 2021 picking only NFL underdogs.

The contest card at the SuperBook in Las Vegas provides midweek odds, and the betting lines and totals are subject to change. I’m not in the big NFL contests this year at SuperBook or Circa Sports, which I featured in Forbes. But I’ve had top-5% finishes in the big NFL contests in seasons past.

Fairway’s Forecast – NFL Week 4 Underdog Picks

New York (+6) vs. Dallas – Giants Moneyline +200

Giants released and bet at +6, and now +5.5 at leading online sportsbooks day of game, Thursday. The Giants have a better net yards per play than Dallas (-0.7), who is allowing 6.0 yards per play on defense this season after looking so dominant in Week 1. And dominant is what Dallas has been in this series winning last year 40-0 and 44-17 to extend the Cowboys win streak to 7 against the G-men and 12-of-13 the past 7 years. The Giants had 7 sacks last week in a road win at Cleveland, whose offensive line has been banged up. Now they’ll take aim at Dak Prescott (269 YPG), who leads the league in passing while averaging a league-high 41 attempts per game. The Cowboys running game struggles (73 YPG) has them at the bottom of the NFC with the Bears rushing attack while running the ball an NFC-low 20 times per game. Those rushing stats will not have them rushing to the window, and the Giants can hang tough if they model the Ravens blueprint of success against Dallas last week (274 rush yards, 45 attempts), and QB Daniel Jones protects the ball and continues to get it in the hands of star rookie WR Malik Nabors.

Updates: Action Network media and research team report that NFL underdogs of 6+ points are now 8-5 SU and 12-1 ATS through 3 weeks. That’s the best start ATS for “big dogs” in history. Underdogs of 7+ points have gone 4-0 SU – first time dogs of 7+ are above .500 SU through 3 weeks since 1956. Still, YTD favorites are 29-19 SU and 22-24-2 ATS, so underdogs just above .500 ATS.
