Farmers Insurance Open Odds: Betting Tips For Torrey Pines
The second leg of the California stops on the West coast swing is La Jolla. The PGA Pros tee it up just North of San Diego at Torrey Pines for the Farmers Insurance Open. I chip-in weekly PGA event and betting coverage at TheLines.
Both the North and South Courses are in play, and Torrey Pines South will also host the 2021 U.S. Open in June.
Last week 2 hours North in La Quinta for The American Express, we chipped in two tournament match-up winners. We also had three ‘Fairway Favorites’ finish top 10 for finishing position bettors – Abraham Ancer (T5), Brian Harman (T8) and Paul Casey (T8).
My golf coverage and research includes use and references from sites like Golf Stats along with Fantasy National and Data Golf. I gain added information from contacts and golf insiders.
I put it all together and add my intuitive feel for the game and betting acumen to provide golf picks and chip-in added insight with information you can bet on. This page will be updated up to the start of the tournament and include picks for consideration to win and top finishing position, along with tournament match-ups.

Plus added chip-ins, notes and player analysis. Jon Rahm is an obvious choice this week as the favorite. Power player, key Strokes Gained stats. I’m sure he’ll be on our card as one of the favorites at the U.S. Open. Same for Viktor Hovland.
Here is one on the big longshot we analyzed.
Sam Burns (+9500 DraftKings): Burns fits near the top model profile that includes Distance and SG: Tee-to-Green. Over his last 36 rounds, he ranks No. 7 in this field in SG: Total. That includes key strokes gained stats for success at Torrey Pines of No. 3 Off-the-Tee, No. 8 Tee-to-Green and No. 2 Ball Striking. The 24-year-old has a pair of Top 10 finishes this season, and fully expect his experience around these courses the last three years will move him up as an overlooked contender. At these odds, Burns is a birdie to include along with top finishing position odds of +800 for Top 10 and +350 for Top 20, along with easy money of +225 for Top 30.

Mid-tourmament Farmers Insurance Open update and information you can bet on at Offshore Gaming. Includes a 3rd round match-up play on Sam Burns.
Post tournament update includes a pair of round-by-round match-up winners on two posts, and a split on these pages for tournament match-ups. Sungjay Im’s scorecard was brutal on the back 9 Sunday, shooting a 6-over 42 after standing on the 10th tee with a 6-shot lead. He lost our match-up.
Longshots Adam Scott (T9) and Sam Burns (T20) were both T3 and 2-shots off the lead into the final round. Burns bogeyed No. 17 and 18 to fall out of the top-10 but a pretty good result on finishing position plays as you reviewed out ‘Golfers to Watch’ and comments on Burns.
Players to Win and Top Finishing Position (Top 5, 10, 20)
Fairway’s Favorites: Finau, Matsuyama, Wolff, Scott
Fairway’s Longshots: G. Woodland (+6000), C. Davis (+6600), C. Howell (+9000), Burns (+9500)
