2024 Travers Stakes Day Horse Racing Picks And Preview

Horse Racing News, Notes and Daily Tips From Saratoga and Del Mar including 2024 Travers Stakes

The biggest days at the races are the weekends, where the top tracks in America host the biggest stakes races. The Triple Crown races draw tremendous interest from fans, media and horse handicappers and bettors. From the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs to the Preakness at Pimlico and Belmont Stakes at Belmont Park, there is plenty of additional racing that draws interest and betting from many of the top tracks listed below. That includes the $1.25 million 2024 Travers Stakes at Saratoga on Aug. 24, which I previewed in my horse racing coverage in Forbes. It includes trainer comments and questions I asked during the media teleconference this week, and I also added a second Travers picks article on all 5 Grade 1 races Saturday at Saratoga with chip-ins and insight from one of my horse racing colleagues and insiders Guaranteed Tip Sheet (GTS) along with Horse Racing Nation.

Each year horse racing culminates with the Breeders’ Cup World Championships the first weekend in November. The best horses and finishers from the Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series races qualify for the World Championships. I previously provided horse racing coverage and built up the sites and other sports at TheLines sports betting and news site for Catena Media.

I’ll be attending the Breeders’ Cup Nov. 1-2, 2024 at Del Mar to see the best race horses in the world compete for million dollar or more purses as jockeys, trainers and owners guide them to racing riches. The Sport of Kings becomes a world spectacle at the Breeders’ Cup, and I attended last year at Santa Anita (11) and previously at Churchill Downs (9), which have hosted the event more than any other tracks. But beautiful Del Mar “Where the Turf meets the Surf” just North of San Diego in La Jolla is a place to visit if you want to see one of the finest tracks and experiences in the country.

Follow along as this page and site provides weekend racing schedules, betting odds, news, notes and tips on races and betting information on the biggest races from the leading tracks in America. I provide previews and picks for the biggest races in my horse racing coverage in Forbes. That includes the Triple Crown races above, and others like the Travers, Haskell, Whitney and others leading into the Breeders’ Cup.  I add more news and updates for FanDuel Racing as I provided horse racing and sports coverage for them previously and utilize their odds and bigger betting menu as reference in my sports betting coverage in Forbes.
