2024 MLB All-Star Game And Home Run Derby Odds

The 2024 MLB All-Star Game is set for Tues., July 16 at Globe Life Park in Texas, and the Home Run Derby on Monday provides more watch and wager action. I chip in with HR Derby odds, picks and props plus rosters and odds for the MLB All-Star Game in my coverage in Forbes.

The American League (-118) is a slight  favorite over the National League with a total of 7.5 runs.

Last year, the National League snapped a nine-game winning streak by the American League with a 3-2 win in the All-Star Game.

Home Run Derby Rules

There are some rules changes to the format, including hitters getting 3 minutes or 40 pitches in the first two rounds, whichever comes first (excluding bonus period). The “knockout stage” begins in the semifinals. The first round will have no predetermined seeds, and it will instead consist of all eight hitters competing, with the top four performers advancing to the semifinals. The final round will conclude whenever 2 minutes, or 27 pitches, comes first (excluding bonus period).

Ahead of the 2024 MLB All-Star Game and following the summer showcase, the key games in the division races continue. I’ve been updating the standings, odds, World Series and key games each month during the summer as you track the teams and key contests.
