Wyndham Betting Preview – Final Chance For FedExCup Points

The FedExCup Playoffs are on the next tee just a week away. But many PGA pros are scrambling for par at this week’s Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield. I preview the event from a betting perspective for TheLines with players, odds, insight and information you can bet on.

The final event of the season at Wyndham will decide which players get into the top-125 to qualify for the playoffs, and which players finish top-10 to earn an extra $500,000 through the $10 million Wyndham Rewards bonus.

Following the PGA Championship and Collin Morikawa’s dramatic win, we’re looking for a recovery shot ourselves after our seven-straight tournament matchup winning streak was snapped.

TOP GOLFERS IN THE WYNDHAM CHAMPIONSHIP

The Wyndham Championship will feature four of the Top 10 players in the FedExCup Standings – Webb Simpson (2), Sungjae Im (3), Patrick Reed (7) and Brendon Todd (9).

In addition, this week’s betting favorites from BetMGM include: Brooks Koepka (+1000), Webb Simpson (+1000). Patrick Reed (+1600), Tommy Fleetwood (+1800), Paul Casey (+2000), Justin Rose (+2200) and Abraham Ancer (+2500) who has a chance to move into the top-10 currenly No. 13 in the FedExCup Standings and needing a top-3 finish to potentially crack the top-10 and earn the $500,000 bonus.

While many players and bettors will be watching the leaderboard this week, others will be waching the scoring and position of these players below, who are on the cut line for earning their way into the FedExCup Playoffs starting next week. The top-125 qualify, and this is the last chance to earn points and a chance to play for more money in the playoffs and also secure a PGA Tour card for the 2021 season.
