Record Super Bowl Betting Expected With Patriots Favored Over Rams
Record Handle Expected on Super Bowl 53 Between New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams
Super Bowl Llll (53) is set, and the betting is going to set records. The early betting has been brisk and the Patriots have gone from a 1-point underdog to as high as a 2.5-point favorite at Las Vegas sportsbooks. The over/under is a record 58 total points.
“It’s just been electric,” Westgate oddsmaker Jay Kornegay told Associated Press. “We certainly expect to set a new record this year.”
I provide some insight on the expected record-betting Super Bowl in my latest article at Forbes.
Super Bowl betting by the numbers:
$4.76 billion: total betting last year
$4.6 billion: total illegally bet last year
$158.5 million: total legally bet (Nevada)
$320 million: total projected to be legally bet this year (8 states), per @VSiNLive https://t.co/kL7lotxsXN

More updates along the way as additional props are released. But get ready for a huge handle and another Super Bowl betting bonanza. The props will be plentiful, and hopefully profitable like last year including the Super Bowl winner on the Eagles.
You can bet on it.
