NFL Handicapping Podcast with @FairwayJay – Week 4

Welcome back to another week of FairwayJay’s NFL Handicapping Podcast!

Each week on the NFL handicapping podcast, FairwayJay will analyze the upcoming Sunday games and touch on the Thursday night contest. Thoughts on the previous week’s games and results will be incorporated into the analysis and handicap of the current week’s games.  If something happened over the weekend that has betting ramifications you can bet it’s being covered by FairwayJay each week on the Vegas Sports Zone NFL handicapping podcast.

The NFL Handicapping Podcast Week 4 segment includes an opening segment from FairwayJay on some of the current ATS situations surrounding teams that have struggled to run the ball effectively through the first 3 games. Note that teams that run the ball an average of less than 20 times per game are a combined 1-14 ATS this season.  Five teams fit that criteria and rushing profile: NY Giants, Browns, Steelers, Rams and Redskins.

Vikings – Matt Cassel replaces injured Christian Ponder (ribs)

Buccaneers – Mike Glennon – rookie replaces ineffective Josh Freeman

Jaguars – Blaine Gabbert – returns from injury to replace Chad Henne

Raiders – Matt Flynn – likely replaces Terrelle Pryor (concussion)
