NFL Betting Podcast Week 8 with @FairwayJay

Each week on the NFL betting and handicapping podcast, FairwayJay will analyze the upcoming Sunday games and also provide his insight on the Thursday night contest. A brief recap of the previous week’s games will be analyzed and the results will be incorporated into the analysis and handicap of the current week’s games.  If something happened over the weekend that has betting ramifications you can bet it’s being handicapped and covered by FairwayJay each week on the Vegas Sports Zone NFL betting podcast.

FairwayJay-TOP-PLAY-CLUBThe NFL Betting Podcast Week 8 with professional sports handicapper FairwayJay includes an opening segment and recap of the previous week’s games and impact of point spread results. FairwayJay went 4-2 on his official client selections Sunday & Monday.  Despite a top-play loser on the Eagles, FairwayJay bounced back with an easy Big Drive winner on the San Francisco 49ers followed by solid selections on the Sunday Night and Monday Night games; over the total in the Colts 39-33 win over the previously undefeated Broncos and the NY Giants 23-7 winner over the Vikings on Monday Night Football.

FairwayJay digs into the week 8 match-ups and provides ATS betting situations surrounding the teams and games on the week 8 card.  Some match-ups show a disparity at the point of attack, and FairwayJay discusses which teams project to have success running the ball and stopping the run.   Note that through week 7 games, teams that run the ball 20 times or less in a game are a combined 8-40 ATS this season.  Conversely, teams that run the ball at least 30 times per game are 49-12 ATS this season. There are a handful of games where both teams run the ball at least 30 times in a game, and I didn’t include those in the ATS record noted. Teams that out-rushed their opponent by a meaningful margin (30 or more yards) were back on track in week 7 going 9-2 ATS; now 48-24 ATS for the year but still below the 10-year average of approx.  75% ATS.

FairwayJay provides insight, analysis and opinions on sides to support along with totals of interest. There are 5 division games on the Week 8 card, and four of them involve some of the worst teams in the NFL – Buccaneers, Giants, Vikings and Rams. All of them are at least a TD underdog.   Home underdogs went 3-3 ATS in week 7 with all three winners delivering outright victories – Colts, Redskins and Jets.  Home underdogs are 11-8 ATS the past three weeks.  Five home underdogs in week 8 and some of the ugliest ones of the year, but catching big points in four games – Buccaneers, Jaguars, Vikings, Rams and Raiders.

Tune into the Vegas Sports Zone NFL betting podcast this week and let FairwayJay guide you to the green as he provides insight and analysis with information you can bet on.
