College Football Week 3 Picks And Top 25 Matchups

College football Week 3 features three To 25 match-ups, and I chip-in some insight, picks and information you can bet on for the biggest games and those generating the most betting action.

Last week we had Oregon (+14), and they went into Columbus and put a 35-28 beating on the Ohio State Buckeyes in a Top 25 match-up. Not so fortunate with Iowa State, who had four turnovers in a 27-17 defeat against rival Iowa. The Cyclones out-gained the Hawkeyes by margin in defeat, but a -4 turnover margin is a SU/ATS loser more than 95% of the time.

I break down the key Top 25 match-ups with added information you can bet on in my weekly college football picks and profiles at Forbes.

I add more Week 3 analysis with picks, opinions and leans at Offshore Gaming Association, and will chip-in a bit here as well.

Please recognize the betting lines move and adjust, and I provide this information for news and entertainment purposes with added info and betting data from leading online sportsbooks as a media contact.

I do not tout or sell picks for companies, but my history as a proven sports handicapper has been documented in the past as a top of the leaderboard sports betting analyst.

No. 1 Alabama at No. 11 Florida – 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS
Line Alabama -15 and Total 59.5

This line has been rising again after a major betting group hit Florida on the opener. We’ll take as many points as offered as Alabama freshman QB Bryce Young makes his first road start. Sure the Crimson Tide defense is elite, which was too much for Miami’s quarterback in Week 1 as the Hurricanes turned the ball over in defeat. Florida leads the nation in rushing through two games, and the Gators may be too one-dimensional. But they will out-rush Alabama in this game, and Florida fits some strong ATS profiles and situations noted in the Playbook Sports newsletter that I outlined in some of my Top 25 coverage in Forbes. You never feel comfortable betting against Alabama and their dominance, but taking this many points against a quality SEC team playing at home as a strong running big ‘Dog with a solid defensive front seven and top-tier coach in Dan Mullen seems like the prudent play.

Pick: Florida (+15)
