Bettor Beatdown: Fury Scores TKO Over Wilder In Heavyweight Title Fight

The big bets were rolling in at many sportsbooks across the country and especially in Las Vegas at William Hill and MGM, site of the heavyweight title fight between Deontae Wilder and Tyson Fury at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

I provided some post-fight coverage at Forbes with betting updates as sportsbooks were a winner with the Fury TKO over Wilder.

More bettors won on the method of victory with the fight ending in Round 7 by TKO, as the sportsbooks took most action on ‘under’ 10.5 rounds.

The Action Network reported major bets of interest leading into the fight including a $190,000 bet on Fury at +105 odds. But more bets and money were on Wilder with the price rising to -145. Fury’s TKO was a knockout to Wilder bettors, making the sportsbooks including William Hill a winner at most locations.

Fury, “The Gypsy King,” is still undefeated with 30 wins (21 KOs) against 1 draw (vs Wilder in Dec., 2018), and Wilder suffered his first loss in 44 professional fights.
