Adjusted Odds And Bets For The Weekend At The Masters

So you saw this coming, correct? Four golfers with pre-tournament odds greater than 100/1 at the top of the leaderboard heading into the weekend at the Masters. Tournament favorite and most popular pick and bet Jordan Spieth (-5) is also tied for 4th with another favorite Justin Thomas (-4) tied for sixth.

Justin Rose (-7) leads and will play in the final group Saturday with PGA Tour rookie Will Zalatoris (-6). Brian Harman is also 6-under par, and another big longshot and darkhorse I identied in my coverage for FanDuel Sportsbook is in the mix, as Aussie Marc Leishman is 5-under par and had pre-tournament odds of 160/1.

But let’s be real and understand that betting players to win outright is not only a longterm losing proposition, but not a wise wager in terms of value if you’re betting on more favorites. It’s tough, and betting top finishing position or the adjusted odds market is often a much better option. Taking a shot on longshots and making some pizza bets is fun and entertaining, and I do some of that as well. But focus on match-ups, and more full tournament match-ups along with selected prop bets. You’ll profit from the experience more often.

My Masters coverage continues at Forbes for the weekend at the Masters. I included adjusted odds and information you can bet on, and you can see my Masters coverage and each week’s tournament preview and betting information at TheLines.

Jordan Spieth was the most bet golfer to win heading into the tournament, and his odds and proven performance at the Masters has him favored into the weekend at the 2021 Masters.

My pre-tournament Masters betting guide included another tournament match-up winner with Justin Thomas over world No. 1 Dustin Johnson, who missed the cut. I have one other posted match-up in the balance with the players tied into the weekend at the Masters, but year-t0-date tournament match-ups are now 13-3 and are documented each week in my PGA Tour event coverage.

I certainly his some balls into the rough with some other tournament bets and opinions this week, but also have a few pizza slice bets I made earlier on big longshots Justin Rose and Will Zalatoris that are live into the weekend.

It will be fun to watch, even during my travels and inability to bet more on the Masters.

You can bet on it.
